All best dreams find flesh and bone
as in your footprints they are sown
surge up like mountains from seeds of stone
who thought, to see you bleed & groan
was cursing coming all unwound?
The first day saw you break the ground
of newer earth, of fresher years
you rose up, casting off our fears
the Wind rushed out, He washed us clean
and made us who we'd never been
betrothed in water to worlds unseen
once caked with death, now scoured clean
with songs and strength to fight within
to face the night, and standing, win
bind up wounds, and cast down gods
with shining feet, prepared and shod
for every good work done through pain,
until we wake, with You again.
